Motion Capture Experiments

http://vimeo.com/39658331

I’ve been really inspired lately by all of new possibilities that a kinect offers for motion graphics and interactive work. Here’s a few in a post I wrote earlier
As an excuse to get a bit more experience at Cinema 4D, and using a Kinect I thought I’d have a play around with trying motion capture.
These are all a little glitchy though… My main problem is the space needed to do clean tracking,  I need a bigger area for the Kinect to pick a body properly.

Here’s where i’ve got to after a little playing around.

Under all that fur is this set up mixed with some collision detection, and soft body dynamics…
